The short version
We do not sell your information and we do not track you around the internet. This website has no analytics and no advertising cookies.
If you email us or become a client, we keep the details we need to do the work and to meet our legal obligations. You can ask us what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Axis Pay Corp, trading as Axis, a company incorporated in the Republic of Panama, holder of Aviso de Operación No. 155782173-2-2026-2026-574447616. In this policy, "Axis", "we" and "us" mean that company.
Registered address: Calle 50, Edificio PH Plaza 2000, Piso 17, Bella Vista, Distrito de Panamá, Provincia de Panamá, Republic of Panama.
For anything to do with privacy or your personal information, write to info@axispaycorp.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information we handle as the party deciding how and why it is used. That includes:
- People who visit this website.
- People who contact us by email.
- Clients and the people who work for them.
- Specialists, subcontractors and delivery partners in our network.
When we deliver services for a client, we sometimes handle information on that client's instructions rather than our own. In those cases the client decides what happens to the information and their own privacy policy applies. Our agreement with them sets out what we may and may not do with it.
3. What we collect
When you visit the website
This site does not use analytics, advertising tools or tracking cookies. It stores one item in your browser to remember whether you prefer English or Spanish. See our Cookie Policy for the detail.
Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser type. This is used to serve the site and to keep it secure. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
Everything the page needs, including fonts and images, is served from this website. Your browser does not make requests to third parties such as font or analytics providers when you load a page.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to write. We keep the message so we can answer it and keep a record of what was agreed.
When you become a client
Before we take on work, we run a business verification check. We collect:
- Legal business name, registration number and tax identification.
- Registered and trading address.
- What the business does, and its website.
- Names, roles and contact details of the people authorised to sign and to approve work.
- Billing contact details.
- Supporting corporate documents where appropriate, such as incorporation papers or proof of authority to sign.
During an engagement we also hold project information, approvals, invoices and payment records.
When you join our specialist network
Before a specialist, subcontractor or delivery partner can be assigned to work, we collect:
- Identity information and identity verification.
- Business or professional profile, service categories and experience.
- Tax details and payment details, including bank account information.
- A signed independent contractor agreement.
- Portfolio and references where relevant.
- Performance records from work delivered through us.
What we do not collect
We do not collect payment card numbers on this website. We do not knowingly collect information from children. We do not buy personal information from data brokers.
4. Why we use it
| Purpose | Why we are allowed to |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry | Because you asked us to, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. |
| Verifying a business before we work with it | To take steps before entering a contract, and to meet our legal and fraud prevention obligations. |
| Delivering the services | To perform our contract with you. |
| Selecting, contracting and paying specialists | To perform our contracts with those specialists and with our clients. |
| Invoicing, accounting and tax records | Because the law requires us to keep these records. |
| Keeping the website working and secure | Our legitimate interest in running a safe service. |
| Sending you information about our services | Only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. |
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
We share it only where it is needed:
- Specialists in our network, when they need it to do the work you asked for. They receive only what the job requires.
- Service providers we rely on, such as hosting, email, accounting and document storage. They act on our instructions and may not use the information for their own purposes.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, when we need advice.
- Banks and payment providers, to pay our specialists and to receive payment from clients.
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to establish or defend a legal claim.
If our business is ever sold or reorganised, information may transfer to the new owner. It stays subject to this policy until you are told otherwise.
6. Where your information goes
We are based in Panama and we work with clients and specialists in other countries. Your information may therefore be stored or handled outside your own country, including in countries whose data protection laws differ from your own.
Where we transfer information across borders, we do it on the basis of a contract with the recipient that requires them to protect it to the standard set out in this policy.
7. How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that go nowhere | Up to 24 months, then deleted. |
| Client and provider records | For the length of the relationship, then as long as the law requires us to keep accounting and tax records. |
| Contracts and signed documents | For the length of the relationship plus the period in which a claim could still be brought. |
| Invoices and payment records | As required by Panamanian tax and accounting law. |
| Website server logs | A short period set by our hosting provider, for security and troubleshooting. |
When a retention period ends we delete the information or make it permanently anonymous.
8. How we protect it
This website is served over an encrypted connection. Access to client and provider records is limited to the people at Axis who need it to do their job. Everyone in our specialist network signs a contract that includes confidentiality obligations before they are given access to anything.
No system is completely secure. If a breach happens that puts your rights at serious risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Have information corrected if it is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete information, where we are not required to keep it.
- Object to us using it, or ask us to limit how we use it.
- Withdraw consent where our use is based on consent.
- Receive information you gave us in a portable format.
- Complain to your national data protection authority.
In Panama these rights come from Law 81 of 2019 on the Protection of Personal Data. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, equivalent rights apply to you under local law.
To exercise any of them, email info@axispaycorp.com. We may need to confirm who you are first. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, and in any case as quickly as we reasonably can. There is no charge unless a request is clearly unfounded or repetitive.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not direct this website at children and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other sites
Where we link to another company's website, we are not responsible for what they do with your information. Read their privacy policy before you give them anything.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The effective date at the top of this page tells you which version applies. If a change is significant, we will tell clients and providers directly rather than relying on you to notice.
13. Contact us
Questions, requests or complaints about privacy go to info@axispaycorp.com, or write to us at Calle 50, Edificio PH Plaza 2000, Piso 17, Bella Vista, Distrito de Panamá, Republic of Panama.
